IN TIMES OF CRISIS, WE NEED TO COME TOGETHER.

The aim of this exhibition is to recognise the many connections between education and the other Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and between the many organisations in International Geneva working on sustainable development and education. The 17 SDGs seek to address pressing economic, environmental and social challenges.

Quality education (SDG4) is a fundamental human right. Education also holds transformative potential as a means to achieving the SDGs by contributing to just, sustainable and inclusive societies. Each poster in this exhibition explains the connection between education and another SDG, gives key facts on one target, and highlights partners in International Geneva also working on these interconnected SDGs.

The city of Geneva is host to 40 international organizations, 750 NGOs and diplomatic missions from 184 countries to the UN Office in Geneva, and two major academic institutions. All of these organisations are dedicated to achieving the SDGs and to developing the next global sustainability agenda.

Cooperation is critical—internationally and in Geneva—to realizing the right to education enshrined in many global and national policies and agendas, and to unleash the potential of education to contribute to achieving the other SDGs.
