SDG 9 Partners
The Tech Hub is a transversal platform at the Geneva Graduate Institute, dedicated to supporting the Institute’s digital transformation, fostering digital skills and literacy across its community, and amplifying the Institute’s voice in global tech policy discussions.
“The fab” is a collaborative space designed to nurture creativity and partnerships among diverse stakeholders, driven by shared responsibility and powered by knowledge and imagination. It encourages out-of-the-box thinking, ideation, and experimentation. Serving as a "Grand Central Station" for the Institute’s students, staff, and partners, the fab builds bridges across research, teaching, and student engagement at the intersection of research, policy, and action. It collaborates with external partners to create necessary cross-cutting connections and helps position the Institute at the nexus of critical and constructive thinking. It serves as a space for exchange between generations, disciplines, and sectors. The fab aims to spark creativity and innovation through events, workshops, hackathons, art exhibitions, and more.
Giga is a joint ITU/UNICEF initiative, supporting governments and other stakeholders in the quest to connect every school to the Internet, and every child and young person to information, opportunity and choice by 2030.
The SDG Solution Space is an innovation facility for students to collaborate with Geneva-based International Organizations and NGOs on tackling the SDGs. The space, established by the University of Geneva in 2017, is located in the heart of International Geneva at Campus Biotech Innovation Park. It hosts a comprehensive education and innovation program for the SDGs, including hackathons, summer schools a Master degree and an Olympiad. Students use a challenge-based learning methodology, inspired by Jean Piaget, to solve real-world problems, mentored by experts from International Geneva. The space also hosts an ecosystem of NGOs that participate in student training.
