SDG 17 Partners
Beyond Lab, in the Office of the Director-General, is UN Geneva’s multi-stakeholder space leading on social innovation for long-term sustainability. Building on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda, we work on enabling systems change for long-term sustainability. We do so by challenging the status quo, and co-creating and shaping the existing conditions, norms and ‘rules of the game’ to go beyond and explore what’s next for sustainable development. Our goal is to make sustainability a way of life by influencing policies and decision-making in an inclusive, intergenerationally equitable way.
GPE is the largest global fund and a unique multi-stakeholder partnership dedicated to transforming education in lower-income countries. GPE brings together lower-income countries, donors, international organizations, civil society, including youth and teacher organizations, the private sector and private foundations, who have a direct say through a constituency representation at the GPE Board of Directors. For more than two decades GPE has been delivering funds and supporting solutions to build strong and resilient education systems in around 95 countries, of which 44% are fragile and conflict-affected.
The Competence Center for Innovation and Partnerships advances innovation within the Geneva ecosystem through systematic research, strategic dialogue, and learning-oriented, cross-sector partnerships. It is also home to the new Giga Research Lab – a joint initiative with Giga (UNICEF-ITU) to accelerate global school connectivity – which applies the Center’s integrated approach to bridge the digital divide and support inclusive, sustainable development.
The Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM) builds its strategic positioning in the areas of global governance, sustainability, and business analytics on the strong ties between the institutions in Geneva and the school’s faculty members. This ‘Geneva Advantage’ benefist students, executives and their organizations, and society at large. We offer the more than 2'000 highly diverse students currently enrolled in our Bachelor, Master, Ph.D., (Executive) MBA, and other degree programs, a state-of-the-art education. Following our mission to educate responsible leaders for a diverse and changing society, our study programs and research activities are continuously improved through systematic quality development measures and external accreditation processes.
